Awesome.
My first "beat" as a reporter was UNC women's soccer for the DTH. Having come from an area where there wasn't even organized soccer, that was quite the tutorial.

Considering I knew absolutely nothing about soccer going in ... heck yeah.
Now that I haven't even covered a high school soccer match in a decade, a lot has mentally eroded away. But I must say, I still enjoy the women's game exponentially more than the men's game. I enjoy the finesse game, relatively speaking.

I enjoy the women's game too. The best thing about the women's game is there is no flopping, which I think is the biggest thing keeping soccer from really growing in the US. And Alex Morgan!
