Hey guys,
Just visiting Chapel Hill for the UVA game and wanted to ask a few questions on where to go. John has answered a couple of questions of mine on wahoos247, but I don't want to waste his time by inadvertently trying to make him my personal travel agent. I figured I would post here because you guys would be able to tell me about what seems to work best for you.
Where's the best tailgaiting and do we need parking passes? Also, where's the best place to go to watch the night games? The OK v FSU game should be electric and hopefully good for the whole conference.
Thanks in advance.
Looks like everyone's playing the 'quiet game' on the board this afternoon.
Here's what I posted on your board:
Franklin St. is definitely where you want to go which is north of the stadium by about a 10-15 minute walk across campus. Most likely everyone will either be going to or from there before and after the game. The best place to watch a game is probably 'Four Corners' which is on the corner of E. Franklin St. and Henderson St. beside the post office. They have plenty of TVs. Other bars to check out would be Top of the Hill, R&R Grill, Linda's, Goodfellas, Spanky's, He's Not Here (all on E. Franklin.) Carolina Brewery, Kildare's, The Crunkelton, West End Wine Bar are more on W. Franklin.
*Anyone else have any suggestions?

Top Of the Hill and He's Not Here are iconic Chapel Hill bars.
Pantana Bobs is a greek bar. I always had a good time there.
Wouldn't recommend any of those if you want to watch the game.
My current favorite now that I am older and don't like to jockey for bar position or crap booze is the Crunkleton. Not a sports bar, but plenty of tvs and will definitely have the game on. It is a private bar, but it shouldn't be hard to get in if you try.
If you want to eat, Carolina Brewery is a good place to watch the game and grab some okay bar food.
