Johnathan Howard could break records this season

  • From GHSFdaily.com (Check them out. Great site):

"Johnathan Howard of Wilcox County leads the state in receiving yards with 1,421 with potentially two games to play. That ranks 11th all-time among seasons recorded by the Georgia High School Football Historians Association. The record for receptions in a season is unknown. Tommy Hudson had 102 in 2010. Tavarres King had 100 in 2007. Howard has 99. Let us know if any seasons that should be included are missing."

Here are the all-time leaders in Georgia:
    1,655 - Demarco Robinson (M.L. King) 2010
    1,647 - Da'rick Rogers (Calhoun) 2009
    1,641 - Tavarres King (Habersham Central) 2007
    1,581 - John Harris (Americus) 2000
    1,573 - Stan Rome (Valdosta) 1971
    1,453 - Blake Gowder (Union County) 2008
    1,436 - Justin Williams (Charlton County) 2005
    1,432 - Chris Jackson (Henry County) 2007
    1,430 - Jermaine Allen (Americus) 2002
    1,426 - Alex Chisum (Sandy Creek) 2010
    1,421 - Johnathan Howard (Wilcox County) 2012
    1,419 - Malcolm Mitchell (Valdosta) 2010
    1,410 - Tommy Hudson (Colquitt County) 2010
    1,401 - Chris Slaughter (Peach County) 2005
    1,400 - Chris Richards (Cherokee) 1999

  • Thanks Keith.

Can't wait to see Q Davis and Howard on the outsides next year. All Renner will have to do is throw the ball up and let them go get it!

Don't forget Tapley, Ebron, Fieullteau, and the return of TJ Thorpe! So many weapons in the arsenal next year for Brynn, I definitely don't see red zone scoring being an issue with those long arms all over the field!

  • Paul could howard have a big jump in the rankinga like trubisky did with his phenominal season?

LOL, DOC I wasn't. Just thinking with the freshmen alone we would be special. I could never forget Ebron, he is going to make alot of money soon. I think Thorpe could be really special if he gets back to healthy and stays there.
