Missouri increases ticket prices, plan new uniforms for SEC move bit.ly/AdhsMx Also: new turf, new donation requirements, etc.
I find this story funny. Why should it take moving to the SEC to reinvorgate their athletic programs? Where was this enthusiasm while in Big 12? I think a lot programs in ACC would do the same thing if they were leaving the conference and think that is a shame.
All schools in this conference need to take pride in the ACC and stop with the inferiority complex that is plaguing our programs. That is all.
The Atlantic Coast Conference: A Tradition of Excellence... Then, Now and Always
Unfortunately, it's all about the almighty dollar.
Increased ticket prices and donation requirements = more money
New uniforms = more apparel sales
The only team to switch conferences for any reason other than a financial one was Texas A&M, when they finally said enough to living in Texas' shadow. Of course, it also helped that they were jumping from a less financially stable conference to one of the two most profitable.
Rivalries don't matter as much anymore, it isn't about an inferiority complex, history isn't important. It's all about the money.
