Another New Helmet?

Im not sure if you guys caught Gio's interview on ESPNU, but it seemed that he showed off another helmet. I'm not sure when they are gonna wear it or if ever at all, but I just wanted to see what you guys thought of them. They are the big heal with like a shiny black it. Hopefully you can see the picture...

Nice work!
I love that they are out there! I like some of the other prototypes/designs better. However, Gio on ESPNU showing off UNC swag is FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC!!!
I have been trying to find this video for the past day or so.

Not a fan of that helmet, but I love what it represents... Go Heels! Things just feel "different" with Fedora don't they??

I love them!!! I think this new direction is huge in the FEDORA Era. It attracts recruits and that's what matters.

I have a feeling the reason this helmet design is out there in black is because it has already be revealed.
Want to be able to generate new buzz when/if the new designs are used.

I love The Carolina Blue Heel on a dark color. Really puts Focus to the Heel. Thanks for sharing!

Not really a fan of the huge foot on the helmet! Ha, I love the black and I loved the chrome. Still wanting to see a light blue shiny helmet a la Oregon with two silver rams horns curling around the ear hole... Get Nike on the horn!

Me either, loved the chrome and this is pretty cool but I'm not sure why the NC can't be left on there.
It is fine with this black but I felt the chrome with the NC would have looked so much better.

Great investigative work, MichaelJD.
Think it looks sharp, but the bar was set high with the chrome. That look was outstanding.

Haha i had to share it, Paul. I agree with you that the chrome is going to be hard to beat. No problem about the clip though, i always love being able to share this stuff with people that care as much as I do. But seriously if anyone knows where to get one of those posters please post it on here. I've been searching for hours and I need one!!

If you watch the video closely you will see that was the chrome helmet with the dark ceiling of the truck reflecting thru it that made it look black. I don't think that was a different helmet.

I'm pretty sure this is correct. It was the same chrome helmet, just looked darker because of the way it was reflecting inside the studio.

Well what made me think it was different, was that Gio said, " we have this one, AND we have the one we wore two weeks ago against State." He didn't say that exactly but he said something to that magnitude. Plus, I heard that there had been some talk about wearing chrome black helmets at one point. Not saying that you are definitely incorrect just my two cents.
