It was only a matter of before Jordan Fieulleteau pulled the trigger on a commitment to North Carolina as he made the decision official Monday afternoon.
“They’re the school that’s showing me the most love,” he explained to CarolinaBlue.com in early February. “I’m enrolling early so I have to make a decision. I really like UNC right now. They have the journalism major that I want. It’s not too close to home but it’s just about right because I want to stay a little close to my mom.
“There’s just that good, at home feeling and I feel wanted the most over there. Plus the offense they run will really be good for me as a wide receiver. I really like it over there. I’ve visited UNC twice since the new staff has been there. I went to a basketball game (against Boston College) and then I went up a couple weeks ago to watch film with some of the coaches.”
The 6-3, 200-pounder was one of close to 30 top in-state juniors who visited Chapel Hill recently for the UNC-Duke basketball game.
The wide receiver was also given an '85' rating which makes him a 3-star prospect as he's ranked the no. 25 player in North Carolina by 247Sports.
Fieulleteau made a name for himself at UNC’s ‘Beast on the Hill’ 7-on-7 tournament in late July. After scoring countless touchdowns, he earned the staff’s ‘Playmaker’ award in the championship division.
His performance at the camp earned him an early verbal offer from Butch Davis' staff.
This was before he would explode during a prolific junior season in which he had 86 catches for roughly 1,200 yards and 24 touchdowns.
Fieulleteau is the third in-state commitment for the Tar Heels in the 2013 class.
